After losing my husband, I faced the challenge of raising our three children while also reconciling with the physical and emotional connections we shared. It was during this period that Jim stepped in, initially offering professional renovation advice. Little did we know that this professional interaction would evolve into a deep and meaningful connection.
Meeting Again and Building Foundations
Our paths crossed when Jim, through mutual friends, offered his expertise on home renovations. His presence in those early days was a reassuring comfort, helping me navigate critical decisions during that time. His involvement reflects a central theme of this podcast: providing support and guidance during life transitions.
It’s amazing how moments of vulnerability can open the door to profound change, and that’s precisely what happened with us.
Achieving New Goals Together
Our personal and professional lives evolved naturally over time. Encouraged by Jim, I made the brave decision to leave my position as a teaching aide to pursue a new career in finance—one that promised not only personal fulfillment but an opportunity to help others in situations similar to mine. As we grew closer, so did my career, leading me to become a financial advisor specializing in transitions.
Together, Jim and I embarked on a new venture: establishing our financial firm. Jim supported me throughout, stepping away from his construction career to help manage the business side of things, allowing me to focus on clients.
